Day #68: Give with Beautiful Feet Nashville, TN 2

Over a month ago, we received a request from Melissa Irwin in Nashville. She invited us to come serve with a new charity startup called Beautiful Feet Global Outreach.

As it turns out, we arrived in Nashville yesterday. Unfortunately, our timing isn't allowing us to get together. Melissa (also the founder) boarded a plane yesterday. She is enroute to an orphanage in Zimbabwe as I write this.

The mission of Beautiful Feet is to minister the love and hope of Christ into the hearts of orphans worldwide by providing basic needs and creating educational platforms from which opportunities abound.

Beautiful Feet currently partners with 4 orphanage homes in Zimbabwe, Africa. The organization provides the children with food, education fees, education supplies, and HIV anti-viral medications.

Also worth mentioning - Beautiful Feet is currently creating a process that will allow adoptive parents an opportunity to apply for a grant.

We made a small donation to Beautiful Feet today, but I mostly just wanted to spread the news about what they are doing. Check them out on twitter and facebook.

Pure religion before God is this: to care for orphans and widows in their misfortune.

Our family spent 2011 traveling the USA in an RV, striving to intentionally "give every day" for the glory of God. We interviewed CEOs of nonprofits and served alongside over 40 organizations and churches.

Our Pledge

We hereby pledge:

- To spend intimate, quantity time with our family.
- To actively help the poor, the sick, the lonely, and the helpless.
- To value, protect, and advocate for children.
- To de-emphasize the importance of “stuff” in our lives.
- To bring publicity to good causes and good people.
- To live with intentionality, as if this year was our very last.
- To observe the needs in our country/community – and then do something about them.
- To give – every day.
