Day #108: Give to Jesica

Day #108: Give to Jesica 1

Congratulations to Jesica from MT – this week’s featured giver and prize winner (item of her choice from UV Skinz).

Day #108: Give to Jesica 2

Jesica'a Story:
We gave this weekend to my grandparents. They are both in there seventies and live several states away from all our AZ family and three hours away from us. We spent the weekend at their home helping to clean up their yard from all the beetle infested, dead pine trees. In the process we cut a tree down ON THE HOUSE and ended up also repairing the deck and roof. Thank GOD no one was hurt and the damage was minimal. Also, we praise Him that my husband is a carpenter and skilled in home repair! Even though things didn’t go as we planned it was a joy to spend our days “off” by helping them. They have given us so much love and encouragement through the years that I am not sure we will ever be able to give them enough.

A new prize winner is selected each week! To enter, you can leave a comment on igive any (or every) day of the week.

Day #108: Give to Jesica 3

  1. Thanks all! It seems like the more I give the more I get - even literally these days! So thankful for cheerful givers like you!

    1. My beautiful friend....I loved reading about the sweet ways you serve your grandfolks! You inspire me to give more, and I love having you in my life. Thanks for linking me to this great couple travelling the country to show God's love through giving!

Our family spent 2011 traveling the USA in an RV, striving to intentionally "give every day" for the glory of God. We interviewed CEOs of nonprofits and served alongside over 40 organizations and churches.

Our Pledge

We hereby pledge:

- To spend intimate, quantity time with our family.
- To actively help the poor, the sick, the lonely, and the helpless.
- To value, protect, and advocate for children.
- To de-emphasize the importance of “stuff” in our lives.
- To bring publicity to good causes and good people.
- To live with intentionality, as if this year was our very last.
- To observe the needs in our country/community – and then do something about them.
- To give – every day.
