Our goal when we are on-the-road in the coming year is to GIVE.
As our pledge states, we want to use our strengths to "actively help the poor, the sick, the lonely, and the helpless." Our projects may take many different forms as we assist non-profits, churches, and schools across the USA.
Through all of it, we KNOW that as we give, we will also be learning from incredible leaders, servants, and philanthropists. We will learn from retired RVers, laughing children in campgrounds, homeless men, women in shelters, successful CEOs, people at the laundromat, and friends along the way.
A huge part of this adventure is about observation, discovery, and humility. We want to look around. We want to ask questions (and then listen to the answers). Questions like...What is true leadership? Where are the poor in our country? What does it mean to love your neighbor? What is the church's role in the world? How can individuals make an impact in their communities?
Thanks for coming alongside us as we begin this journey across America.

I am so in love with this concept and what y'all are doing! My husband and I have spent considerable time just loving on and learning from local homeless communities, and I cannot say how amazing it has been! To see the face of Jesus in the eyes of the abandoned, neglected, and far from God is something that has forever changed my perspective and my life! I can't wait to see where God takes you as you do this~ I am definitely praying for your family!
We are looking forward so much to this journey as well! Thanks for praying for us. It is very encouraging when people let us know they are praying about what we are doing.

I just came across your blog and you link here, I had no idea that you all were going to do this! I somewhat miss the new along the way or something!
Praise God for your willingness to do his work! I am amazed and humble by what you are doing.
Much love
Renee
Ps if you by any chance want to travel near Maine and want to cross over in Canada , Our family would be more then happy to have you over for a little while. And for sure you could taste some fresh baked good from the bakery :-)
Thank you for the invitation, Renee. We'll certainly keep your family in-mind if/when our plans take us to the "far east." ;)
If you are in North Georgia, you are welcome to stay in our house. Our one year old and an almost 4 year old daughter will be also overhoyed to play with new friends!
