We Rented Our House

We Rented Our House 1

About two weeks ago, we took our house off the market so that we could rent it. Our tenants moved in this weekend. They are a friendly family with three kids so we expect that they will fit right in with the rest of the neighborhood.

This past week was jam-packed with moving out of our house and preparing it for the renters to move in. Stephanie and I packed up our remaining belongings, touched up scuff marks on the walls, and shampooed the carpets. We are exhausted.

This week we will have a lot more breathing room. Having the house situated is a big relief. Now we can focus more on the upcoming adventure.

  1. Congratulations and rest up! I know what its like to rent out your house on short notice- a ton of work.

    1. We are staying with my parents for the time being. We plan to purchase the RV this month. My two daughters are loving all the time with the grandparents!

Our family spent 2011 traveling the USA in an RV, striving to intentionally "give every day" for the glory of God. We interviewed CEOs of nonprofits and served alongside over 40 organizations and churches.

Our Pledge

We hereby pledge:

- To spend intimate, quantity time with our family.
- To actively help the poor, the sick, the lonely, and the helpless.
- To value, protect, and advocate for children.
- To de-emphasize the importance of “stuff” in our lives.
- To bring publicity to good causes and good people.
- To live with intentionality, as if this year was our very last.
- To observe the needs in our country/community – and then do something about them.
- To give – every day.
